PASTOR COLIN LANDRY
Colin and family moved to Somers in 2022. Before coming to Somers, Colin was the pastor of the Evangelical Baptist Church in Newton, MA from 2005-2021. Between ministry in Somers and Newton, the Landrys lived a “lost year” in Denver, where Colin worked variously as a school headmaster, door-to-door milk salesman, and Uber driver.
Colin grew up in Denver; his wife Tonia hails from Hamburg, Germany. They have five children, and two daughters-in-law. Two of their children still live at home.
In 2002, Colin graduated from Virginia Beach Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree.
He enjoys backpacking, dogs, landscaping, and the Denver Broncos.
The Landrys favorite spots in New England include Newport RI, Middlebury VT, and Tanglewood.
Colin enjoys a variety of authors, several of whom go by their initials: C.S. Lewis, G.K. Chesterton, and E.B. White. But then “over-the-pondness” is also a theme: Charles Spurgeon, J.C. Ryle, James Herriot, Christopher Ash, Sinclair Ferguson. Throw in some California flair with Fred Sanders. And recently, he’s discovered John Webster and Ivor Davidson. {Help! he can’t stop listing great authors!} Colin blogs occasionally here.
E-mail Colin at pastor@somersbaptist.org or text him at 720 400 9504. He’s a pitifully slow correspondent, but eventually will reply.
