MINISTRY  APPRENTICESHIP

Somers Baptist Church is currently in a stage of revitalization. Rather desperately (different from despairingly!), we are looking to God to repair and renovate His work in this small farming town. We are convinced that preserving the only evangelical witness in Somers is a good thing. And from some striking instances of God’s provision, we’re pretty sure that God intends to maintain this Kingdom outpost.

Into this exciting moment, we invite those who are looking to gain experience and receive guidance in ministering to the church and reaching out to those not yet in the church. SBC is interested in engaging both summer and year-long apprenticeships.

​

Ministry apprentices will take part in all areas of ministry: preaching and teaching, joining counseling sessions, visiting people in homes. They’ll be assigned a reading list and meet regularly with the pastor to discuss the reading and ministry in general. THE ENTIRE APPRENTICESHIP WILL BE TIGHTLY ORGANIZED.
